POWER.TXT rev. 5/2/93
At this point in time, only the power supply directly from Supra that has
been packaged in with the SupraFAXModem is approved. (Your local distributor
may have re-packaged the modem with a supply that matches to your local power
source. In that case, the DEALER, not Supra, would be responsible for
correctly rating the supply.)
If trying to find a supply to use outside the US, or as a replacement for a
failed power supply (see note below), Supra suggests looking for a supply
with an output rated at 9 volts AC (alternating current) at 50 to 60 Hz and
1 amp. of current. (The current rating is greater than the listed power
requirements in the manual because many transformers are not corrected rated
to supply full voltage at full current load.) (Supra's warranty may be
voided if damage is done by using the wrong type of power supply.)
NOTE: Original Supra Power Supplies that fail due to defect are included in
the warranty coverage on the Modem. Supplies that have been damaged due to
user damage, or acts of god, are not included in this policy, but may be
purchased from Supra for 19.95 + Shipping & Handling.
